Rosalie Gascoigne

Finally checked out the Rosalie Gascoigne exhibition at the NGV and it really impressed me. I've always loved her work and it's a fabulous show with quite a diverse range of work there.I really liked her old enamel ware pieces, and the ones with just plain, silvery aged wood but couldn't find any images of those, but the bright traffic yellow ones like this are what she is probably most famous for.

I love the enamel ware too. In fact, since seeing a show of hers in Sydney a few years ago I seem to have amassed quite the collection of old enamel bowls and jugs. I'm a big fan of her work.

My mum saw her on tv a few days ago and my stepdad and her are very tempted to go to Melbourne to see the exhibition, I must be living under a rock for until my mum told me I hadn't heard of her, from what I've seen on the net I'm very impressed!
