Felt weaving experiment

Having fun experimenting with weaving wool tops before felting them...it looks so pretty it's almost a shame to felt it.

Autumn bird

This is a combination actual and digital collage of mine.
Autumn is here, and I'm getting back into the felting to make myself a rug for Winter. Yesterday I visited the Spinners and Weavers Guild shop (thanks Ros!)in Carlton to buy some more wool tops and it's in a fabulous old building opposite the Carlton Cemetery. There was a group of ladies in there working away and they had the heat up to the max- Ben wanted to turn their building into a Recording Studio, but I don't think those ladies are going anywhere soon...

Maiden hair

Discovered this beautiful jewellery by Maria Jauhianen via dear ada's blog and it reminded me of my own photograph- the maiden hair/ginko type leaves are irrestible.
