I love bees

Here are my new little bee earrings that I found at the Melbourne Botanic Gardens shop, and instantly had to have. Plus a very cute little bee- inspired purse from Emengee designs on Etsy.
Considering Australia is the last continent on Earth to not have that horrible deadly bee virus, I think we should all be treasuring these little pollinators.

Sometimes I suspect I may have a mild case of agoraphobia, because I feel so content to be at home pottering about, and have no desire to go out into that big bad world...but I have no eggs to keep warm!

Massive relief for people with taste...

O.K., I normally wouldn't bother paying too much attention to the latest fashions, but after what seems like aeons of hideous 80's revival clothing, and what I like to call "hooker" clothes, it seems we may be about to recover a sense of style and dignity. Of course if I was very wealthy and could buy hand-made and designed clothes, none of this would matter, but since I'm not and have to buy my clothes from your basic High St shops, my relief is massive.
I expect it will take a little while to filter down from the couture heights, but apparently designers like Marc Jacobs, Dries Van Noten and Prada are leading the way...phew.

Scissors from Japan

Just couldn't resist ordering a pair of these from Yozo Craft in Japan (found via Paper Crave).
Now even if my collages aren't coming together as hoped, I can still admire the beautiful scissors I'm wielding! Yes- well, it's the little things in life, isn't it?
